The Mercedes 220 SE was produced from 1959 to 1965, and the 1962 model belongs to the W111 series. Compared to the sedans they were derived from, the W111 coupes and convertibles were lower, wider, and had a more sporty and aggressive look. The design is characterized by elegant and clean lines.
